Mercy is a 13 year old full of life girl who was brought under our care from Springs of Hope Kenya for the holidays after closing school. She started schooling late having come from a dysfunctional family and hence Jimmia has been instrumental in providing psychosocial support so that she can be at par with her peers.

Through the Adolescent Girls Empowerment Program she is gaining life skills to improve her self – esteem and confidence thereby cultivating resilience and emboldening her to defy the odds. “I want to be a doctor when I grow up” she resolutely says with determination in her eyes.
